The Speed of Dark – Elizabeth Moon

Now, this I liked.  It won the Hugo too, so I’m not the only one. Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon provides an amazing insight into autism.

What a departure from Moon’s space opera(s) of the space traders and space marines.  Also very fun, but my stint with those series predates this blog, so we’ll have to wait together for a sequel to either of them.

Back to Speed of Dark. The main character is autistic, but very eloquent in his narrative.  It’s a very interesting exploration of the idea of self and self-worth.

Read it. It’s very good.
