Mulengro – Charles de Lint

This is a darker style for Charles De Lint.  I think I liked it better because of this – sometimes his lighter work is just not substantial enough.

This felt somewhat more like a Stephen King book.

It’s about Gypsies and magic (of course there is magic).  Ghosts and a cop and a fiddler and a witch-woman (I don’t remember the right word there).

I like the show-down in the woods at the cabin/cottage.  I found it very easy to visualize, though my own familiarity with Ontario forests probably helped out there.
