Vengeance in Death – J.D. Robb

This is early in the series – there is tension and a touch of distrust between Eve and Roarke.

People from Roarke’s past are being murdered in a way that echoes the deaths of those responsible for Summerset’s young daughter years before.

Did Roarke kill these new people? Of course not – but Eve is angry and suspicious for a while.

As far as the series goes, this is not a standout entry – the character development is acceptable, but the mystery itself is a bit lack-luster.
